Man's Cable and Post Vest

Man's Cable and Post Vest book pattern

This vest is crocheted starting at the front waist, wored up to the shoulders, then down to the back waist.  The trim around the waistband, armholes , and neckline are all done at the same time as the body.  Then when you've crocheted that last stitch, the only thing left to do besides wear it, is to sew the side seams together!

Available in The Complete Photo Guide to Crochet, 2nd Edition by Margaret Hubert.

The vest was made using Plymouth Yarn Alpaca Prima

Color Twist Hat

Color Twist Hat  book pattern

Your choice of colors to be used.  This hat has an interesting "twist" to the banding that gives the hat a textured, dimensional look.

The cream hat was made with Lion Brand Cotton Ease, and the peachy hat was made with NaturallyCaron' Country, which unfortunately has been discontinued.

Reversible Strands for Men (and Women, too!)

REVERSIBLE STRANDS for MEN (and Women, too!)   PDF formatted pattern on Ravelry, $5 USD

© NLS Stitches

Created with men in mind for chemo hat donations, this hat has a lot of versatility in color selection(s), stretch, and style.

The reversible part is the that there is no right or wrong side to this hat!  It can be worn with the ribs facing out for a raised texture, or it can be worn with the smooth side out for a more subtle texture.  One, two, three, four, or as many colors as you would like to use.

© NLS Stitches The pattern includes 3 sizes: small, medium, and large, besides instructions for both the straight and spiraling ribs. The ribs can be vertical, which men seem to really like, or they can spiral around for a softer look, which women seem to prefer.  Lots of choices with this pattern!  Have fun making them!
